Sandy Point Art Oasis Opens January 29, Bringing Art, Music, and Sustainability to St. Croix

St. Croix is about to welcome a brand-new creative and eco-friendly destination: Sandy Point Art Oasis, officially opening on Wednesday, January 29. Nestled between Dorsch Beach and Sandy Point, this innovative space blends art, music, and sustainability against the breathtaking backdrop of one of the island’s most stunning coastlines.
Built from repurposed shipping containers, Sandy Point Art Oasis is more than just a venue—it’s a canvas in progress, inviting local artists to help shape and complete its evolving masterpiece. Murals, sculptures, and artistic elements will continuously grow as part of a collective creative effort, making every visit a new experience. A recently sponsored Shawshank Redemption-themed art contest has already brought fresh inspiration to the space. (The film’s famous final scene was shot right at Sandy Point!)

More to Come!

While Sandy Point Art Oasis is launching with a strong focus on creativity and sustainability, this is just the beginning. As more artists get involved, the space will continue to evolve with new installations, collaborations, and interactive experiences. Plans are already in motion to expand live music offerings, introduce themed nights, and establish a gathering space where art and island culture thrive. Expect full moon parties, special art installations, and immersive cultural experiences as the Oasis grows.
Starting in February, Sandy Point Art Oasis will be open whenever a cruise ship is in port, from 10 AM – 5 PM, making it the perfect stop for visitors looking to experience St. Croix’s unique blend of art, beach, and island vibes.

Find Sandy Point Art Oasis just past Sand Castle and Cottages by the Sea. The beach will remain open and accessible to the public, ensuring that everyone can continue to enjoy this stunning stretch of St. Croix’s coastline.

Don’t miss the chance to be part of something special—join the celebration on January 29 and be among the first to experience St. Croix’s newest art and beachside destination!

    • Hi there thanks for your question… In it’s current state, we are just beginning, but the goal is to make this an artistic work in progress that continously brings in local artistry and opportunities for local artists to showcase and sell their works. So long answer, yes.
