When I arrived on the island many people recommended Six Nine Restaurant & Bar on St. Croix, so I have been itching to check this place out. I was not disappointed.
As soon as I walked up to the restaurant, I was greeted by a friendly staff, who escorted me to my table. The first thing that caught my attention was the beautiful open-air and outdoor setting. The restaurant is located in the heart of historic Frederiksted, and the atmosphere was perfect for a romantic dinner or a casual night out with friends.

The menu at Six Nine Restaurant & Bar is a mix of traditional and contemporary dishes. I started off with the seafood ceviche, which was fresh and delicious. For my main course, I had the seared salmon alfredo, it was savory and delicious. The pasta tasted like it was homemade. To finish off the meal, I had lemon cheesecake with fresh strawberries on top. The combination of the tangy lemon and sweet strawberries created a harmonious balance of flavors that was very pleasing to the palate.
As I was enjoying my meal, I noticed a black three-legged cat (“tripod”) roaming around the restaurant. I was told that the cat is a regular at the restaurant and has a friendly personality. He was super cute and added a unique touch to the dining experience.

Throughout the night, I was entertained by Steve Katz’s acoustic guitar music. His covers of classic songs were spot-on, and he had an easygoing stage presence. He was a great addition to the ambiance of the restaurant.
As I was leaving, I heard a story about Dan Aykroyd and Jim Belushi recently patronizing the restaurant only a couple of days before. I’m told they were both very friendly and took the time to chat with staff and fellow diners. Apparently, they even sang a song or two with Steve Katz, how fun is that! Quick Edit: He was also there the night I eat at the restaurant too, pretty cool.

Overall, my experience at Six Nine Restaurant & Bar was fantastic. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was perfect, and the entertainment was great. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting St. Croix.
Dan Akroyd is in both your wide angle pictures above. He is at the head of the long table on the lower left.
Funny enough, I was eating at 69 the night belushi was there and the night these pics were taken!
Love it!
