Excitement swept through St. Croix as President Joe Biden and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden graced our small island with their recent getaway visit. Governor Albert Bryan Jr. expressed pride in welcoming the distinguished guests, emphasizing the unique charm and warmth that St. Croix offered.

News of St. Croix, which is purposely neutral on politics, couldn’t help but share the thrill of having a U.S. President visit. The cool factor was undeniable, especially witnessing Air Force One touching down at our modest airport, accompanied by an entourage of support vehicles. Fun to see the “logistics machine” in full action.
The President’s visit to our island community also offered a hopeful glimpse of potential progress in terms of infrastructure possibilities. The timely completion of road construction before the visit was noteworthy, leaving us with a sense of acknowledgment. With a subtle mix of sarcasm and a bit of optimism, I have a quiet hope for sustained momentum in timely road construction after the visit.
In the end, having the President visit our small paradise not only reinforced the strong bond between St. Croix and the United States but also left us with a lasting sense of pride and anticipation for the island’s future. The thrill of the occasion was felt by all, making it a memorable moment for St. Croix.
