According to a release by the Virgin Islands Tourism Department, airlift capacity is projected to have a year-over-year increase of 24%. With the new flights being offered, they are very eager to promote travel between the islands. “The addition of seats into the territory from Puerto Rico not only expands our accessibility from the island and mainland United States, but also provides a new opportunity for inter-Caribbean travel,” said V.I. Tourism Commissioner, Joseph Boschulte, in response to the JetBlue network expansion.
