As a breakfast lover, I was excited to hear about Polly’s at the Pier, a popular breakfast and lunch eatery in the historic waterfront town of Frederiksted on the west side of St Croix. I was not disappointed!
The moment I stepped into Polly’s, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant is located on Strand Street on the waterfront of Frederiksted and just across the street from the Frederiksted Pier, providing a beautiful Caribbean Sea view. The decor is simple and rustic, with a touch of island charm.
I decided to try one of their popular made-to-order breakfast items and I was not disappointed. I ordered the “Henhouse Waffle Breakfast” and it was delicious. I ordered mine with scrambled eggs and cheese with a veggie sausage. It also came with a Belgium-style waffle and blueberries. Everything was fresh and delicious.
What I originally came for was the smoothies. They offered a variety of flavors and I opted for the “Orange Crush” smoothie mixed with banana, pineapple, orange juice, and coconut cream, it was so refreshing and delicious. It was the perfect complement to my breakfast.
The service was quick and helpful. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure that my experience was enjoyable. They were more than happy to make recommendations and help me navigate the menu.
Polly’s at the Pier is a must-visit spot for breakfast on the island. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting St. Croix, whether you’re a local or a tourist. You will not be disappointed.
