Want to see St. Croix from incredible heights? Want to feel the breeze rush past you as you take in incredible sights? The Carambola Zipline is perfect for people looking for thrilling ways to explore the island. The ziplines were easily some of the highest and longest we have ever been on.

Exploding Beer and Giant Pigs!
It was a bumpy climb through the rainforest, but that only made our trip even more of an adventure. St. Croix’s rainforest is home to so much wildlife, vegetation, and a unique restaurant. Driving through the middle of the rainforest, we found the Mt. Pellier Domino Club- home of the beer-drinking pigs.
Clues to Jamaican Treasure
Since Melanie and I have only been on St. Croix for a couple of weeks (and we don’t have a car), we haven’t had much time to explore parts of the island other than the obvious ones. We were in for a pleasant surprise when our friend, Keller, visited St. Croix and led us to the most secret gem in Christiansted.
Making Friends = More Adventure!
One of the advantages of Melanie and I visiting St. Croix was that Melanie’s cousin, Anthony, lives in St. Thomas. Since he travels back and forth from St. Croix to St. Thomas, he has friends in St. Croix that we’ve gotten to know. A couple of days ago, Anthony told us he was coming to St. Croix for the weekend. We never would have expected the adventures we had with him.
Snorkel the Frederiksted Pier!
Everything Melanie and I had seen and done our past week in St. Croix had been more amazing than we could have imagined. Even with all our fun, there was still one thing on my bucket list we hadn’t accomplished: seeing a sea turtle. Knowing I love to snorkel, our friends on the island always said one of the most popular places to snorkel in Frederiksted was the Frederiksted Pier. With a free afternoon, we grabbed our masks, snorkels, and towels and went to cross off a lifelong goal of mine.
St. George Botanical Gardens: Preserving History and Nature
My partner, Melanie, and I have a goal to experience as much of St. Croix as we can. After taking a morning swim, we wanted to find another activity to walk around and explore. We’re so glad we found the St. George Botanical Gardens. We were expecting just some pretty plants to photograph. However, we were pleasantly surprised when the gardens were not only blossoming with wildlife, but also filled with fascinating history of St. Croix.
Golfing on St. Croix is Always a Par-ty!
Recently, I have become obsessed with the glorious sport of golfing. When my partner, Melanie, and I found out we were heading to St. Croix for a couple weeks, my instant reaction was to find the closest golf course to where we were staying. My heart leapt for joy when I saw that St. Croix has not one, but THREE main golf courses that visitors can play at. After weeks of bugging Melanie with my excitement (and asking her to be my caddy), I booked a tee time at Carambola Golf Club and got ready for one of the most beautiful rounds of my life.
“Sea” St. Croix from a Totally Different Angle: a Dazzling Sunset Cruise
My partner, Melanie, and I are new travelers to St. Croix. After a long day of snorkeling and soaking in the beauty of the island, we couldn’t imagine that our adventure-filled day could get any better. That was until our local friend told us about the most relaxing way to end such an exhilarating day: the Lyric Sails sunset cruise. St Croix is known for having one of the most beautiful sunsets in all of the Caribbean. From what we experienced, taking a sunset cruise may be one of the best decisions we made on our trip!
