Snorkel the Frederiksted Pier!

Everything Melanie and I had seen and done our past week in St. Croix had been more amazing than we could have imagined. Even with all our fun, there was still one thing on my bucket list we hadn’t accomplished: seeing a sea turtle. Knowing I love to snorkel, our friends on the island always said one of the most popular places to snorkel in Frederiksted was the Frederiksted Pier. With a free afternoon, we grabbed our masks, snorkels, and towels and went to cross off a lifelong goal of mine.

St. George Botanical Gardens: Preserving History and Nature

My partner, Melanie, and I have a goal to experience as much of St. Croix as we can. After taking a morning swim, we wanted to find another activity to walk around and explore. Golfing on St. Croix is Always a Par-ty!

Recently, I have become obsessed with the glorious sport of golfing. When my partner, Melanie, and I found out we were heading to St. Croix for a couple weeks, my instant reaction was to find the closest golf course to where we were staying. After weeks of bugging Melanie with my excitement (and asking her to be my caddy), I booked a tee time at Carambola Golf Club and got ready for one of the most beautiful rounds of my life.

Sky Sightings in the Virgin Islands

While spending time on St Croix, I’ve seen some amazing things over the skies of the Virgin Islands this week. From military exercises with A-10 Warthogs, Apache Helicopters, and C-130 Gunship planes flying over St. Croix to the rare planetary alignment of Jupiter, Venus, and the Moon over the horizon, it’s been quite a week to stare up into the skies.

But the thing that had everyone talking was the SpaceX 9 launch which lit up the skies over the northern Caribbean on Monday night. There were lots of great photos capturing a curious phenomenon bursting into the evening sky, but also lots of speculation about what it could be.  I mean, who doesn’t love a good alien invasion or Chinese spy effort story? But it wasn’t either of those things.
